Our Pre-School Management Committee

We are a non-profit making registered charity and exist solely for the purpose of providing early years education for children in the village of Blewbury, local villages and our local town of Didcot. We are in receipt of Government Funding which funds our professionally qualified staff.
Our Management of the Pre-School is undertaken by a group of volunteers parents who are elected on a yearly basis at our Annual General Meeting.

What does the Committee do?

Our Committee is responsible for a wide range of things – managing the budget of Pre-School, making sure that it operates legally within current legislation, dealing with the salaries of the staff, helping to raise funds for the provision of daily equipment, and ensuring that the building is properly maintained in liaison with our landlords, The Malthus Educational Trust.

Our Current Committee is:

Chair - Sam Chegini
Secretary - Georgina Lesmoir-Gordon
Health & Safety - Laura Ritchie
Treasurer - Julian Ellis
General Members:
- Philippa Ellis
- Abbie Anson-Sealy
- Karen Green
- Charlotte Whyte

We are also supported by parents of children at Pre-School to help with fund raising and general maintenance tasks.

How can I help?
We are always looking for parents to help on the Committee as every year as children move onto Primary School, parents also leave the Committee. You may not feel you have any special skills or experience but the one thing we all have in common, is that we love Blewbury Pre-School and would like it to continue into the future.
Blewbury Pre-School cannot function without a Management Committee, so please do consider joining up – all you need is enthusiasm! You may well be able to follow your own interests, develop skills in an area you had not previously consider, make new friends and help shape the future of our lovely village Pre-School.
