Session Activities

During the morning session we offer the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum to all children. The staff carefully plan activities to develop each child into a happy, confident and independent learner who is able to fulfil their potential with us in a supportive and safe environment where every child is valued. We spend time getting to know each child and use their abilities, interests and needs to tailor the curriculum to their own individual personality.
We offer a continuous provision during the morning, which means that our curriculum is planned for both indoor and outdoor learning and children have free access to both areas for a large part of our Pre-School day. Our setting offers: -
· Malleable materials, such as water play, sand, play dough and other sensory play
· Access to technology with our lovely Ipads
· A fully resourced role play area
· Art and Craft including paint, sticking and 3D modelling with recycled materials
· A lovely book corner
· Group time with stories, poems and rhymes
· Music and Movement including a daily Song Time
· A fully resourced maths area
· A fully resourced writing area
· ‘Hot Spots’ to support, encourage and develop language
· Phonics underpins all our learning
· We follow the Wellcomm Early Years Speech and Learning Development program
· Construction resources and the opportunity to create, design and build models and develop fine motor skills
· Large physical play equipment including a climbing frame and slide, tunnels, space hoppers, parachute, wheelbarrows, brushes.
And much more …..
